Structural Analysis with Finite Element Method (FEA)

This kind of computer simulation is extremely useful in structural analysis of parts which have complex geometry, being indispensable in advanced engineering projects.

The finite element method consists basically of dividing a complex part or structure into a large (but finite) number of smaller and simpler pieces (or elements). In this way, the stresses and deformations of the workpiece are calculated element by element, allowing great precision in the analysis of complex geometry structures.

FEA simulations allow to predict whether a structure will withstand the critical efforts to which it will be submitted even before it is built, allowing all necessary changes to be made in computer, in order to ensure its integrity and reliability.

In this way, FEA simulations greatly aid in the optimization of strength, weight, durability and project costs, since it enables a drastic reduction on necessary material and prototypes.
